Chris O’Connell and Priscilla Hon have shone on Australia’s mammoth day at US Open qualifying, advancing to the second round.
O’Connell secured a 6-3 6-3 win over Greece’s Stefanos Sakellaridis, while Priscilla Hon prevented a late fightback from Frenchwoman Alice Tubillo, winning 6-4 4-6 6-2.
